It’ll going to be quiet for the next coming days. Black Top will do three shows and than we’ll start recording our full length album. So if you’ll like to check us out before we’ll go into the recording studio come to one of the three shows on August 7th, 9th or 10th. Check out our gig list!
July 2008: Full length cd recording scheduled
Black Top will start their full length cd recording on August 11. At this moment we’re busy to write the new material. Together with producer Marcel Singor and the help of other friends, we’ll hope to be finished with the whole process early September. The release date will be mid November. We’ll keep you posted through news, pictures and some videos. Just check out this page frequently to see how the progress on the recording is going on!
July 2008: R.I.P. Marlous van Someren 1990 - 2008
We are deeply shocked by the news which has reached on July 1st. Through a tragic accident in Spain we’ve lost a good friend and a great soul mate Marlous van Someren. Only 17 years old and a great carrier in front of her. Just a few weeks ago Marlous opened up with her band for Black Top at one of our shows. That evening and the memory will be forever in our hearts!

May 2008: USA tour
Together with Valley of the Starz, Black Top is planning a tour through three different states in the USA. Starting December 1st till December 18th the band will play Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota.
Recording sessions
We’ve scheduled our dates for recording the full length cd! We’ll be starting end of July 2008 and hope to finish the recording end of August. Black Top is aiming to have the mix and mastering ready in September so the cd can be released mid November! Dutch finest guitar player Marcel Singor will produce the cd. Stay tuned for updates!

December 8: Backstage Deventer
Starting with a relaxed first set, Black Top really took off. We were honoured by the fact that this was the last show at the Backstage. On the other hand it’s a pity that this bar is closing down. Again another great “Live Music” venue gone! We would like to thank everybody who came to see and hear us. Our special appreciation goes out to Marijn for giving us a great time!
December 23: Café de Kroeg Arnhem
There was a party going on at Café de Kroeg in Arnhem! We're proud that people showed up from all over the country to join us at the show. Everbody was dancing and cheering and gave us the time of our live! Thanks Y'all for coming out and we'll hope to see you again soon!

December 26: Midtown Deventer
After a slow first set we had the people going. Probably everybody was still in problems with digesting their food from all the Christmas parties. But after the booze start flooding, Hell yeah, there was a party going on in Midtown! Thanks to all the guys and dolls for having us in Midtown and to everybody who came to celebrate our Christmas party!
January 19: Blues Route Wageningen
We had a great time playing at Café de Dikke Draak. Great audience, awesome drinks and two great guys behind the bar! We would like to thank the owners for having us there!
January 25: De Mac Harderwijk
After our support act Solar Sister opened up for us with a great show we had the ultimate test. Playing over 2 hours without a break! The crowd was more than awesome! There was a great vibe going on between them and us, so thanks to these people we put up a great show! We would like to thank everybody at De Mac for having us and for taking good care of us!
